This commercial building is set back from the London Road boundary protecting the existing trees whilst providing a car parking area serving the retail units. Four retail units occupy the ground floor level fronting London Road and the site access, the largest of which is a convenience store.
The upper two levels are occupied by office space and supporting ancillary facilities including meeting rooms and sanitary provisions. Accommodation is orientated to avoid overlooking adjacent residential private amenity.
The bespoke design incorporates traditional forms with pitched roofs complementary to the surrounding existing and new residential area. The proposed aesthetic is a traditional vernacular style influenced by examples of mid to late 19th century houses and cottages which can be found within Woolmer Green.
